NEW YORK, April 30 (UPI) — Crude oil prices closed at $86.15 a barrel Friday, the third consecutive session prices settled higher on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

The per-barrel price for June delivery rose 98 cents — 1.14 percent — during the trading session. On the week, oil futures gained 1.2 percent and were up 2.8 percent for April.

Natural gas futures for June lost 6 cents — or 1.5 percent — and finished the session at $3.92 per million British thermal units.

Home heating oil closed down, finishing at $2.2512.

Reformulated gasoline blendstock finished the day down at $2.3556.

At the pump, the national average price for unleaded gasoline was $2.881 per gallon Friday, up from Thursday’s $2.877, AAA said.
