IPS Packaging, a wholesale package distributor, is opening a new facility in Memphis.
The company’s new distribution center, located at 4481 Pleasant Hill in Memphis, will open in mid-May, IPS said Tuesday.
The new location is part of the company’s five-year growth plan to expand throughout the Southeast.
“Many of our existing customers had locations in and around Memphis and asked us to open a branch in the area,” said Jerry W. Murdock, IPS founder and president.
“We’ve opened our new distribution center in a strategic location that is within seven miles of two-thirds of the city’s manufacturing and distribution centers,” said Gregg Schuliger, company vice president of sales. “From there, we can further touch other distribution and manufacturing companies through Memphis and the surrounding region, to include Mississippi and Arkansas.”
IPS operates packaging centers in Charlotte and High Point, N.C. Its corporate office is in Fountain Inn, S.C.
