The Facecard prepaid MasterCard is a prepaid card that can be used anywhere MasterCard debit is accepted. It is an alternative to a credit card and gives you ATM access and the ability to get cash back. The card is different from a credit card in that purchases are not made on credit, but instead money is preloaded onto the card. The card is different from a debit card in that the card does not withdraw funds directly from a bank account. In fact, no bank account is required to qualify for the Facecard MasterCard.

Reward Program – Prewards
Facecard is one of the few prepaid cards that offer rewards. Called a preward, this free benefit is a digital coupon that is automatically added to your Facecard. Merchants in the partner network send digital incentives to your Facecard for you to enjoy at their restaurant, store or place of business. You do not have to do anything to get Prewards except sign up for a Facecard. Facecard will notify you of new Prewards via email. These digital incentives will also be visible on your online account when you log in to your account.
Each Preward invitation will outline the specific location(s), expiration date and other details of the offering. Once accepted, the Preward will be added to your Facecard for your use. Note that receiving an invitation is not the same as receiving a Preward. You must accept the Preward within the specified period of time to have it loaded onto your Facecard. Accepting a Preward is easy – all you need to do is click on “Accept” which is listed under Manage Prewards in your dashboard. Use your Facecard at the merchant that offered the Preward, and the coupon deposited to your Facecard will be credited toward your purchase. For example, if you have a $2 Preward for your favorite store, and you go there and spend $5, only $3 will be deducted from your Facecard when you purchase from that store.
Loading Money
You can load your card for free by transferring funds from your bank account. If you do this your funds will be available within 4-7 business days. You also have the option to sign up for direct deposit. This is when your paycheck will automatically be electronically deposited onto your card and available for you to use. This will keep you from having to pay to have your check cashed each pay day.
