Vision Premier® Visa® Prepaid Card
The Vision Premier® Visa® Prepaid Card, is a prepaid card which means you add cash to your card via Direct Deposit or at retail locations and you can use it to make purchases everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted. The main feature of this card that makes it different from the other Vision Cards is that this card was designed for those that want a direct deposit card. You can use the card to pay bills and you can even track your spending online. You have the option to receive email or text alerts about account information and the card helps you build positive credit. You cannot go into debt with this card and there is no interest charges.
How To Load The Card
You can always load cash instantly to any Vision Visa Prepaid Card at over 100,000 retail locations including Green Dot MoneyPakTM, MoneyGram® ExpressPayment®, PayXone™ locations such as Ace Cash Express, PreCash® retailers, Visa ReadyLink, and Western Union®. If you choose to set up direct deposit it is free. Direct deposit allows for each of your paychecks to be electronically deposited into your Premier account. You won’t have to worry about cashing your checks on payday and you won’t have to pay a fee to do so. It will be put right on your card instead and be available right away. You can also do a wire transfer of up to $2,500 per day or a PayPal Transfer for free.
Building Credit
With the PayFit Credit Builder feature, you build credit history every time you pay your bills with your Vision Visa Prepaid Card. You can pay your utilities, rent and other bills with your card and its free. All account holders are automatically enrolled in this service, its up to you if you want to use it. PayFit Credit Builder only reports only payment information, so it builds your credit with no worries. Lenders such as Ford Motor Credit, Chrysler, HSBC, and many others utilize the FICO® Expansion® Score in assisting with their lending decisions. PayFit adds payment information to your file, with no risk. Lenders may use your credit file to qualify you and offer you lower interest rates.
Vision Prepaid Fees
Vision Premier offers relatively low fees. There is a one time $9.95 activation fee, although Vision Premier is waiving the fee with a rebate (see Vision site for details). After that, the monthly fee depends on whether you load the card with direct deposit. With direct deposit, the monthly fee is $6.95. Without direct deposit, the monthly fee is $11.90, so it pays to use direct deposit (plus direct deposit is free).
So what do these fees buy you? First, you get unlimited PIN transactions and unlimited signature transactions for free. Online bill pay is also free, and you can speak to a Vision representative at not extra cost. Domestic ATM withdrawals cost $1.95.
