Canon has recently released new consumer camcorder models. Firstly, there is the Canon FS300 camcorder that shoots in standard definition. For a mid-range model like this, it scores really well in terms of being compact and lightweight. Despite being a standard definition camcorder, picture quality is still superb with a long battery-life.
Next, there is the Canon HF M300 camcorder. This is a high definition video camera that doubles up pretty well as a digital still camera as well. Due to its built-in Dynamic SuperRange Optical Image Stabilisation, it records stunning videos with instant auto focusing. Furthermore, this model is almost as compact as the above model.
